Where to watch the Rugby World Cup Finals in Newmarket

Reading Time: 2 Minutes

After heart-wrenching lows and nail-biting highs, the boys in black have finally done it again and made it to the Rugby World Cup Finals for 2023. For most Kiwis, this long-awaited milestone will have us glued to the TV, sitting on the edge of our seats, ready to celebrate every try, conversion and dropkick.

There is nothing quite like watching one of our nation's favourite sports live and why not feel like you’re in France cheering on the All Blacks in person. Newmarket has multiple spots ready to stream the game live so, if you don’t want to miss a minute of the action and want to be front and centre as the haka echoes through bars and pubs across the country then we’ve got the spots for you.

The Lumsden Freehouse on the corner of Khyber Pass Road and Broadway is a frequent spot for sports lovers. Serving up delicious meals along with screens to view your favourite sporting games, this spot will make you feel like you’ve just stepped into the Stade de France. If you are planning on heading here, we would suggest getting in early to get a seat.

Experience Newmarket’s very own Rooftop Rugby experience and head to Something & Social. While you watch the game, indulge in their new brunch menu and if you’re that way inclined, take a look at their drinks menu to take away the pre-game nerves. Secure your front-row seat by giving them a call to book!

While you’re at it, pick up some of the latest All Blacks merchandise and support gear from Adidas. Their range will cover you from head to toe so you're ready for when the referee blows their first whistle. The Warehouse also have a range of cheap and cheerful options with a range of sizes so even the tiniest of supporters have something to wear.
