Increases in crime and anti-social behaviour, quieter town centres due to people working from home, inconsistent council services, ram raids, staff shortages for small businesses, empty shops on main streets, infrastructure disruptions… it’s a long list…
The Auckland central-fringe business associations of Newmarket, Parnell, Ponsonby, Karangahape Road and Uptown have teamed up to invite mayoral candidates to pitch themselves and their policies to our local central-fringe business community, via a webinar series. How will Auckland’s town centres thrive once again, after two years of the Covid rollercoaster?
Our media panel of Simon Wilson (NZ Herald), Todd Niall (Stuff), Pattrick Smellie & Brent Melville (BusinessDesk) and Mark Jennings (Newsroom) will be asking the tough questions, plus questions from the business associations’ members will also be put to the candidates.
