NZFW Day 2: twenty-seven names & more

Reading Time: 2 Minutes

Kicking off our first day of New Zealand Fashion Week, twenty-seven names opened the day with their AW19 collection.

Showcasing an incredible diverse range of models, the collection encapsulated the brands playful nature. Pops of pink and citrus yellow sat alongside the hero floral prints that twenty-seven names is so well known for.

Winter 18' saw the rise of olive shades but it's safe to say that a brighter hue of green is here to see in the next winter season.

Playfulness was a key theme to this collection, featuring pilgrim-esque dresses paired with Converse sneakers and a few looks being finished with a scrunchie or matching silk scarf in the iconic collection print.

Keep an eye out for the October issue of NEWMARKET. Magazine featuring a Q&A with Anjali and Rachel, the driving forces behind twenty seven names.

Next up was Rachel Mills ethereal installation - a collection giving a nod to the retro looks of decades past. Bare shoulders and wide-cuffed, crisp cotton shirting paired with paper bag waisted wide leg suiting. A moving image installation accompanied the models - a detail that created an incredible intimate feeling while viewing the collection.
