We spoke with Deborah Caldwell, creative director of STORM, to find out more about The Pavilion - STORM's Autumn collection, trends to look for and key pieces from range, available in store now.

Newmarket. What is the inspiration behind The Pavilion collection?

Deborah. The Pavilion is a collection inspired by the pulse of Monaco's streets and the iconic Monte Carlo casino. With rich velvets, sleek dresses and splashes of sequins, the collection encapsulates redefining elegance with a robust, powerful STORM attitude. Each piece can be interpreted in many ways, the way I designed and styled this campaign is about having a strong attitude. Celebrating strong women and empowering us to be whoever and do whatever with an unapologetic sense of style and sophistication. 

N. Where do you look for inspiration when planning a new collection?

D. I usually find a lot of inspiration from travelling, from stunning places that I've been fortunate enough to visit, and sometimes from film and television too. I really enjoyed watching the new Netflix series Griselda and definitely think that's having a real impact on the way we're wearing and styling our autumn and winter wardrobes this season, the mob wife aesthetic is certainly something we're seeing a lot of of and I'm totally here for the glamour and luxe aesthetic it brings.

N. What key trends are you seeing for Autumn?

D. I’m loving chocolate and copper tones this season, combined with strong prints, and mixing them with textures like leather and feathers. I’m also coveting suiting, and I love a tie – masculine yet so sexy and powerfully feminine. 

N. Prints play a pivotal role in every STORM collection, what inspired the new season prints?

D. Prints are inspired drama and moody tones. We select the base fabrics depending on styling for each collection and how we want to translate the vibe. All our artwork is exclusive and registered to us, so they are very unique to STORM and won't be seen anywhere else.

N. What are your top three pieces from the new collection?

I'm currently wearing on rotation theTaupe Check Blazer - suiting is such a key look this winter, the Panel Feather Jacket - so soft and glamorous, definitely giving mob wife and I'm really loving the chocolate tones, and I'm also really enjoying rocking a tie this year too - with pants or maxi skirts, it's so empowering!
