One of New Zealand’s top leather accessory labels, Deadly Ponies, is set to launch a long-awaited capsule footwear offering, women’s boots. Deadly Ponies are well known for designing handbags and leather accessories - timeless classics that are luxurious yet perfectly understated.

Arriving just in time for the ultimate boot wearing season, these boots have been personally designed by Creative Director, Liam Bowden, ‘in pursuit of the perfect everyday luxury leather boot’.

Not only was Liam self-taught at constructing handbags, but he also taught himself how to create the footwear patterns. With their technique mastered from handbags, Liam and the team can launch into this new category with experience and reputation behind them. The Deadly Ponies’ customer has been keen on the brand expanding into footwear, and they are so excited to jump into this new creative space after a restrictive past few years.

The mindful edit of boots are versatile wardrobe staples that can take you from office to dinner party. Starting with a focused offering of two hero styles, the Deadly Ponies Rider Boot and Marengo Boot encapsulate everything that is needed in a classic everyday boot.

The Rider Boot is Liam’s take on the classic Chelsea boot, with the addition of the brand’s signature purple hue to the woven pull tab. For something with a bit more height, the Marengo Boot is a beautiful square toe boot, boasting a slender yet solid heel. Intricate details of a Deadly Ponies embossed leather sole and signature brass add a touch of luxury to this versatile yet chic pair of boots.

Designed in New Zealand and crafted in the shoe making capital of the world, Portugal, Deadly Ponies’ two designs are available in black, with the Marengo Boot also stepping out in coveted macadamia python.
