Celebrate the Art of Footwear With Mi Piaci

Reading Time: 1 Minute

This Saturday 26th of May, Mi Piaci will be giving away limited edition 'Garland' prints with full price purchases at their Newmarket store.

Known for their luxurious and well-crafted footwear designed for global-minded women in New Zealand and Australia, Mi Piaci has continued their effort to celebrate creative women and the beauty of shoemaking. Mi Piaci has teamed up with Auckland artist Lily Kate Vallance to create a bespoke illustration featuring one of the key boots of the season, the Western-inspired ‘Garland’ boot.

“Design is everything to us, and we hold the utmost respect and passion for the art of footwear - from the conceptualisation and craftsmanship of each pair, to the artistry every women shows when she makes some beautiful new shoes part of her life and style. With this bespoke illustration we have taken this sentiment one step further, bringing that artistic beauty of footwear into our customers’ homes.” - Sarah Street, Mi Piaci Brand Manager and Designer.

Because this is a bespoke piece, numbers are limited; there will be 250 prints in total across all their stores, all A4 size and all numbered and signed by Lily. Terms and conditions apply.

“Creating art is a process. It’s explorative, often playing with texture, tone, and colour, not unlike the process a designer goes through when they conceptualise a shoe. I wanted this print to evoke feelings of calm within the colour palette, whilst still retaining a certain playfulness. To be a piece that inspires creativity and adorns the walls of Mi Piaci women.” - Lily Kate Vallance, Artist and Illustrator.
