With wedding season fast approaching, Jessica Bridal know just what’s involved in creating the perfect wedding day, helping brides and bridal parties say yes to the dress. Jessica Bridal offers a boutique bridal showroom right here in Newmarket – we caught up with owner Jessica to find out how a typical day rolls out…
I wake up and usually stay in bed for 10 more minutes, just checking any urgent emails. Some of our stockists or suppliers are in different time zones, so they need immediate attention. I also have a little look to see what’s been happening on social media overnight.
I prepare breakfast for my family. My hubby’s coffee is definitely the best way to start the day. My son Daniel is old enough to catch the bus sometimes, but I will drive my daughter Chloe to school. I often pop into her classroom and catch up on what she has done recently, if the day’s schedule is not too busy.
Arrive at Jessica Bridal, grab another coffee from our beautiful Nespresso machine, start to catch up with the design, retail, and marketing team.
Phone meetings with suppliers or stockists, orders, emails, or brainstorming the new collection.
Usually I have meetings around lunchtime but if not I grab something on the go.
My afternoons will sometimes consist of staff meetings and performance reviews as well as interviews for new staff.
Before our fashion shows, I work closely with the design team to catch up on the new collection designs and oversee how everything is going.
I get home and it’s time to relax, have dinner with the family and help the kids with their different activities.
I use the evenings to think and get through my emails. People who know me well won’t be surprised to receive emails from me late at night. I enjoy the quiet moments in the evening to focus on important things.
