3 Simple Skincare Steps

Reading Time: 3 Minutes

The key to beautiful skin is much more than expensive products or great genetics - it all stems from taking care of your skin one step at a time by nurturing and pampering it with the right products it deserves.

Your skincare doesn’t need to be a comprehensive 30-step routine. Begin small to achieve a basic understanding of what you need. Once you gain an understanding of your skin type, add additional steps that are more tailored to your skin. Consistency is key when it comes to taking care of your skin. Results won’t appear immediately and it’s essential to stick with it - good things take time!

We have some simple steps to help you with your morning and night routines to leave your skin feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, and glowing with natural beauty.

A.M Routine

Step 1: Cleanser

We need to start with a fresh clean canvas, so cleaning your face in the morning is essential, even if you think it’s clean. A good cleanser will cleanse, nourish, and moisturise your skin without leaving it too dry.

Step 2: Antioxidant serum or creams

These work to protect your skin from different external elements which age your skin faster. Antioxidants that contain vitamins C or E not only protect your skin but hydrate and brighten it at the same time.

Step 3: Sunscreen

Applying sunscreen is the easiest way to protect your skin from ultraviolet rays that are always present, even when the sun isn’t visible. Although sunscreen's main purpose is to prevent sunburn, this also works to help with premature ageing and the appearance of your skin under artificial lighting too.

P.M Routine

Step 1: Makeup remover

Your night routine should be focused on cleaning and refreshing your face. Some cleansers won’t remove your makeup, so if you are wearing makeup, ensure you're removing this before you start your skincare routine. There are several products that will remove this for you including micellar water, makeup removing balms or makeup wipes.

Step 2: Cleanser

You can either change this up with a different cleanser or use the same cleanser you use in the morning. The main purpose of this step is to wash your face. Your face can quickly become the dirtiest part of your body and washing this before you jump into bed ensures no bacteria is lingering around overnight.

Step 3: Night cream

As a final step, applying a night cream can help rehydrate your skin after a good cleansing. This will also help to build new collagen within your skin to keep you looking young and healthy.
