Hundreds of buses pass through the precinct every day, including the popular inner Link buses which provide easy access to neighbouring suburbs including Parnell, Ponsonby, Grafton, Auckland City, Karangahape Road, and Auckland City Hospital. The outer Link buses also stop in Newmarket and provide access to suburbs such as Parnell, Epsom, Mt Eden, Balmoral, St Lukes, Mt Albert, Point Chevalier, Westmere, Herne Bay and Ponsonby.

Newmarket’s train station is Auckland’s second busiest, with regular trains scheduled to South, East and West Auckland.
