Leafe Cafe, nestled in the corner of Westfield, is a real hidden gem. For those who love cold brew, their in-house brewed version is a must-try and a favourite among many alongside a great matcha latte. This cafe is cozy, inviting and (in our option) has the most delicious chocolate brownie so make sure to grab one before you leave.
Railway Street
Connected to Newmarket's very own indoor ski and snowboard simulator, and surfing centre GravityX, Gaga cafe is family friendly and offers up fresh and tasty meals with plenty of signature dishes amongst all the classics you know and love. Finish off your visit with a visit to the arcade, or try out surfing to get the adrenaline pumping!
Carlton Gore Road
If you have little people in the family, Gilli Cafe in Newmarket is a guaranteed win. This cafe serves up delicous food, great coffee and has a built-in indoor play area for the kids, so they can explore and burn off energy, while you enjoy your food while its hot!
Broadway
If mum is a cat lover, this one is for you. Head to Auckland's very own cat cafe in the heart of Newmarket - downstairs you'll find Maggie Bakery, serving the fluffiest cakes and treats alongside a wide menu of drinks. You can also book to head upstairs and see the cats! Enjoy patting, playing with and feeding the cats for an extra seratonin boost!
Teed Street
Bambina offers an array of instagram worthy meals and drinks ready to brighten any mood. Their menu isn’t your typical selection which is why crowds flood this cafe every day in pursuit of trying something new. Featuring dishes such as Japanese-style prawn spaghetti and blueberry ricotta hotcakes it’s no wonder they are a hotspot.

Small but mighty is the best way to describe Blackdrop Eatery. Newmarket’s best-kept secret can be found on Broadway tucked beside Persian Rugs. Their location might be elusive at first, but once you've stumbled upon this hidden gem, you’ll never forget them. Blackdrop Eatery is a haven for cookie lovers, specialising in cookies we can only refer to as the stuff of dreams.
Teed Street
With 14 years in the game, Teed Street Larder has mastered the art of ensuring their customers keep returning for years on end. Heading here to recharge and fuel up is a great option before continuing on to the hustle and bustle of Broadway. Their menu is stacked with options to suit even the pickiest of eaters alongside all the classics you know and love.
Osborne Street
Candyshop is located in the heart of Osborne Lane where the food and coffee look just as good as it tastes. Going beyond their ‘Instagrammable’ content is a menu made up of Kiwi classics with a Korean twist.

Kent Street
You really couldn't get a more beautiful cafe. With its peaceful piano music, artisan cakes and aesthetic interior, this ambient patisserie is a gorgeous spot to meet up with friends or pop in for some well-deserved me-time.
Carlton Gore Road
Take yourself to Carlton Gore Cafe and enjoy delicious food and coffee while you bask in the sunshine that streams in. The freshly made menu offers a great selection as well as a fully stocked cabinet for a quick grab-and-go option.
Osborne Lane
Grab a hand-rolled bagel and piping hot coffee and set yourself up for the day. We love the TAB with fresh smashed avo, tomato and a drizzle of lemon fennel oil and basil - fresh and delish.
