Meet me on Nuffield Street

Reading Time: 4 Minutes

Looking for somewhere away from the crowds to enjoy that Saturday morning post-gym breakfast? Or planning your next date night and need a pre-movie restaurant to dine at? Newmarket’s leafy Nuffield Street offers both of these and more. From quick, hole-in-the-wall cafes, to traditional Vietnamese and Korean restaurants, slices of Europe and a light and spacious modern café perfect for brunch, there’s something for everyone on Nuffield Street. Plus, if you park in the Nuffield Street carpark, your first 2 hours is free with the Westfield Plus app!

HanSan

Down towards the southern end of Nuffield Street is HanSan, a traditional Vietnamese restaurant serving the freshest Southeast Asian cuisine you’ll find. Known for their excellent and speedy service and delicious traditional noodle soups, HanSan is a popular mid-week lunch spot for locals and attracts diners from all over Auckland at night time.

Must try: If we’re ordering for one, HanSan’s curry chicken noodles is often a repeat order, but if we’re catching up with friends, nothing beats HanSan’s combination Steam Boat.

Faro

Faro’s extensive menu is centred around traditional Korean grilling, soups and seafood, with plenty of options for group-style dining too.

Must try: Faro’s Ara traditional grill set (to be shared between two) is delicious and great value for money. We also love their Kimchi Jjim, a thick spicy stew cooked with pork and kimchi.
