Newmarket’s hospitality outlets have responded to the change to Alert Level 3 by adding a variety of contactless takeaway and delivery options to their repertoires to keep us well-watered and fed. The cafes and restaurants of Newmarket have been hard hit due to the lockdown and need our support now more than ever. Time to put away your kitchen tools, put your feet up, and leave the cooking (or coffees) to those who do it best. Listed alphabetically below you’ll find a list of what Newmarket’s hospitality scene has on offer.
If you have been hankering for sushi, we have good news for you – &Sushi is open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday onwards. Place your order by phone, or visit their website to make an online order here. For all pick up orders from the Newmarket &Sushi, you will receive a free side of edamame.
Freshly roasted coffee is what Altezano does best and we’ve been counting the days to get our hands on a flat white. Their Kent Street spot is open for contactless service today. Open Monday – Sunday from 7:30am – 1pm, phone 09 529 0188 to order your favourite brew.
Pizza, pasta, risotto… now we have your attention! The Archie’s Pizzeria kitchen is back making the good stuff, simply choose from their altered Level 3 online menu here, and give them a call to place your order. They offer delivery, along with contactless pickup.
As early as 6am on Tuesday, Aqua Cafe will be back, serving people their entire menu of coffee, muffins and breakfast to be paid and picked up onsite. Keep updated on their Facebook page here.

If there’s one thing we’ve missed it is Best Ugly’s King Salmon bagel. Best Ugly are back in business from Wednesday, delivering via Uber Eats alongside contactless pick ups from their City Works Depot bagelry if you call 09 366 3926.
If you’re a Coffee Supreme fan then you will be pleased to hear that Billy Café will be open for takeaway coffee, along with a new menu featuring burgers, pasta and salads. Check out the menu here, and phone in your order on 09 302 0995.
No one does chicken like BOAW does, from their fresh chicken salads to their mouth-watering burgers, we sure have missed it! Although the Newmarket restaurant remains closed, you can still order your favourite Bird meal to be delivered through Uber Eats, or opt to pick up from any of the other restaurants.
As much as we have tried, our homemade smoothie bowls just can’t quite compare to Bowl and Arrows. Lucky for us, they are open and serving coffee and bowls! Delivery and click and collect options are available from their Orakei outpost – order through their website here.
Although Burger Burger restaurants will remain closed, Burger Burger General Store will open for business online on Tuesday. Here, you can purchase meal kits, containing everything you need to make your favourite BB offering from your own kitchen.
