The school holidays are here and sometimes it can be tough to keep the little ones occupied, so we have wrapped up our holiday must-dos and best spots to visit with the kids in tow around the precinct. Whether you are looking for somewhere to eat, fun entertainment or a spot to pick up some art supplies we have it all right here in Newmarket.
WHAT TO DO
For the movie buffs, Rialto and Events Cinemas have all the latest films showing and there is something for everyone. They even offer school holiday deals which makes a trip to the movies even sweeter! Visit their websites for information on session times and new releases.
For active little ones on the go, we suggest a trip to The Olympic Pools and Fitness Centre. This Newmarket establishment is the perfect spot to get the kids out of the house and into the pool. The Olympic is also home to Hilton Brown Swimming which offers swimming lessons from infants through to teens.
VR Voom is a great place for the kids to explore alternate realities and universes. With a wide range of Virtual Reality experiences, the kids will be spoilt for choice! From zombie survival, to Jurassic Dinosaurs and magic dragons there is plenty of fun to be had with their school holiday package. You’ll find them at 393 Khyber Pass Road.
For a little more high-octane entertainment, the brand new Timezone on Broadway and Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq are the places to be for entertainment these school holidays. With gaming machines, bumper carts, bowling alleys and photobooths, these entertainment emporiums are designed for hours of fun-filled activities for both kids and adults who are young at heart!
For the crafty kind, Studio Makers Club are running school holiday programs which both children and parents can be involved in. Choose from Pom Pom, Cuddly Toy and Puffy Pillow making classes, to name just a few. These craft classes are also a great idea for any kids parties – as they provide catering and clean up all the (fun) mess that the children create!
WHERE TO EAT

The pink ice cream bar that serves up sweet treats and an interior that the little ones will love.
