Get your 'Bon on! Cinnabon has landed in Newmarket

Cinnabon has officially opened its first New Zealand store inside Westfield Newmarket, bringing the delicious, hot and gooey cinnamon rolls known across the world to Kiwi shores.

If you have a sweet tooth, or are looking for the perfect way to cure that 3pm sweet-treat craving, look no further than Newmarket's latest arrival - the much anticipated arrival of Cinnabon to New Zealand.

It all started with a father, a son and a mission to create the world’s greatest cinnamon roll from scratch. Add in one master baker, months of trial and error, hundreds of different recipes and— BOOM!—you’ve got the sweet, cinnamon-spiced perfection that soon became the calling card of Cinnabon.

When the father-son duo finally landed on the most magical combination of exceptional ingredients from across the globe, they knew they’d created the perfect recipe. So, on December 4, 1985, they transformed their hard-earned dream into a delicious reality with the opening of the first Cinnabon Bakery in the SeaTac Mall in Seattle, Washington.

Devoured by thousands of eager, waiting guests, the original Cinnabon cinnamon roll became an instant obsession. Today, the Cinnabon experience continues to grow to delicious new heights and there now nearly 2,000 locations in 53 countries worldwide. New Zealand makes it 54.

The Auckland store menu features classic Cinnabon treats including the brands world-famous Classic Roll - packed with cinnamon and smothered with their signature cream cheese frosting, as well as twists on the classic, the Caramel PecanBon with caramel sauce and pecans, or the ChocoBon, with chocolate spread and a decadent chocolate drizzle.

A spokesperson for Cinnabon New Zealand says, “We’ve been overwhelmed by the amazing response we’ve received to the news that Cinnabon is coming to New Zealand. We’ve gained thousands of followers on social media already, who can’t wait to enjoy their first ooey-gooey, frosting covered Cinnabon treat right here in Auckland. We’re so excited to be able to welcome them to the store from November 9^th and share our Cinnabon magic which is loved by fans around the world.”

The buns are available in two sizes, with a smaller MiniBon available, perfect for a sweet treat, alongside delicious coffee and a menu of frozen blended drinks.
