A Tertiary Research and Education provider.The 5.2 hectare Newmarket site was previously owned and occupied by Lion Breweries and acquired by the University in 2013 to develop as a long-term mixed-use campus. The Newmarket Campus was a major strategic acquisition for the University providing opportunities for long-term growth close to the City and Grafton campuses. The site is seen as the centre of a developing innovation precinct embracing engineering, science and health technologies. In addition to large scale Engineering and Science research facilities, the campus is also home to more than 20 start-up and growth companies and offers the space to develop purpose-built research, co-location and multiuse amenities to support its innovation mandate.
