2degrees is the country’s newest full-service (mobile & broadband) telecommunications provider. Since launching in 2009, initially as a mobile provider, it has made a significant impact on the telecommunications industry in NZ. Over time it has built its own national 2G, 3G and 4G mobile network and has significantly lowered the cost of mobile for Kiwis. In early 2015, the company acquired internet provider Snap to become a full-service telecommunications provider. 2degrees now has a team of more than 900 people and over 55 retail outlets, as well as 97% mobile network coverage across the country which is complemented by fixed-line ADSL, VDSL and UFB services.
