The Haier Big Hoot public art trail is coming to Auckland’s streets this month.
Over a 10 week period, Auckland is playing host to 47 ‘Owls’ and 60 smaller ‘Owlets’ designed by local school kids as part of The Big Hoot 2018. Kiwi talents including the likes of Dick Frizzel, Jeff Thompson and Flox (Hayley King) are set to transform a 1.65m Owl sculpture into a bespoke piece of art. Nuffield Street is home to its very own owl ‘Unity’ by artist Jenna Brockett.
The public art trail will raise funds for the Child Cancer Foundation in partnership with Wild in Art. Get the family involved and explore the colourful 10-week owl invasion from 3 March until 13 May.
