We are excited to be here! Lovely by skin institute are skin and body experts across all things skin, laser and injectables offering you the loveliest appearance medicine treatments.

What made you decide on Newmarket as a location?

Being in NZ’s biggest mall – Westfield Newmarket, means we are in a more convenient location for our customers located in the central city and surrounding suburbs, making appearance medicine treatments more accessible and empowering customers to love the skin they’re in.

What are some of the treatments that you offer?

We offer a number of unique treatments including CooltechTM fat reduction, Ulfit skin tightening, and many other treatments, such as peels, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, laser rejuvenation treatments and a variety of skin and body packages

The daily regime we would recommend is:

Cleanse - Cleanse your skin daily with a Lovely by skin institute cleanser to help clear, decongest skin and improve clarity.

Boost – AM ritual - Boost your skin in the morning with Lovely by skin institute’s Vitamin B serum – a powerful superfood for the skin or our Vitamin C serum which is vital in neutralising oxidative damage in the skin. PM ritual - at night use Lovely by skin institute Vitamin A serum – a correcting night time serum that helps reduce fine lines, increase cell turnover and evens pigmentation.

Hydrate – Keep your skin hydrated daily with Lovely by skin institute’s Every Day Hydration which is packed with antioxidants, botanicals and vitamins. In the evening after your serum, use our Hydrating Night Cream to boost your skins hydration and fight off free radical damage while you sleep.
Protect – Protect your skin daily with one of Lovely by skin institute’s broad–spectrum sunscreens with zinc oxide (available in tinted), which protects again both UVA & UVB.

After a long summer spent outdoors in the sunshine, how would you best recommend looking after your skin?

After too much sun exposure the skin can look uneven in tone and texture. DermapenTM with BriteLite is a great way to boost the skins overall appearance and complexion, helping to minimise the long-term damage that our harsh UV rays create in the skin. And, of course, prevention is key – don’t forget to Slip, Slop, Slap & Wrap!

What is your most popular treatment on offer?

Our most popular treatments at the moment are Cosmetic Injectables, Cooltech Fat Freezing and Laser Hair removal.

Favourite place to grab a bite to eat in Newmarket?

St Pierre’s Sushi train on Level 3 of Westfield Newmarket (directly opposite our store).

Tell us your top five skincare essentials.

SPF, Vitamin A, Preventative Anti-Wrinkle injections, maintenance skin treatments such as microdermabrasions or peels every 4-6 weeks and a healthy lifestyle (washing makeup off daily, good diet, enough water)

What are your tips on the best way to have healthy glowing skin?

We highly recommend coming in for an Observ® 520 skin analysis to advise you on your individual skin concerns and let our specialists create a bespoke treatment plan for you. This will ensure you have a good skincare regime suited to you – the key to glowing skin is making sure it is suited to you.

What do you think the real message is behind beauty?

Being the best and loveliest version of yourself.

Skincare treatments are becoming far more accessible and we’ve also seen the rise of ‘trending’ beauty treatments which have been amplified by the likes of social media and celebrities. Have you noticed a new market for procedures amongst the younger age demographic because of this?

We are definitely seeing the younger demographic more interested in treatments that prevent aging and help you age gracefully. We are seeing an increase in customers wanting non- invasive, walk in-walk out treatments, ie Ulfit skin tightening, Laser rejuvenation and Anti- Wrinkle injections.

What are your forecasted skincare trends or treatments for 2020?

We expect to see more of a rise in non-surgical/non-invasive treatments such as CooltechTM Fat Reduction, Ulfit skin tightening and DermapenTM for pigmentation.

How has social media and technology impacted the way you do business?

Social media has certainly become a major communication channel for us to reach our target market and talk about our lovely treatments and promotions.

What is your favourite beauty product of all time?

Sunscreen – wearing sunscreen everyday is vital to long term skin health.

What’s next for Lovely by Skin Institute?

Lovely by skin institute currently has 4 convenient locations, with the 5th arriving in Commercial Bay in 2020, watch this space.
