Specialising in eyelash and beauty services, owner Jess Laing has long been helping women look and feel beautiful. We caught up with Jess to find out what goes on in a typical day...

6:45AM

I’ve recently started getting up earlier - I’m not a morning person really but totally love the more relaxed approach to start the day rather than a huge rush. First up, I liketo do a few yoga stretches, sometimes a walk around the block, then eat a light breakfast while planning my day. If I’m listening to a podcast or watching something inspiring, I’ll tune in to that too.

8:00AM

Flick through social, emails and text messages then place stock orders and on occasion organise an upcoming photoshoot. Head off to the Studio.

9:00AM

Welcome my first lash lady of the day, keeping a pretty consistent schedule from then on in. Dependent on what services are booked in, but usually 4-5 ladies are completed before I call tools down for lunch.

1:30-2PM

More often than not you’ll find me at one of the local eateries .. I’m especially fond of the Milkshakes at Burger Burger or the Frittata at Sip Kitchen. I’ll check in on social media and answer text messages from the morning, confirming tomorrow’s appointments through the Timely app.

3:00PM

The afternoon and evening ladies arrive, one by one. I’ve known many of my lash ladies for years now, so we have great chats!

7:30-8PM

I make sure the Studio is tidy and ready for the next day, I’m out the door and off to dinner. I love to catch up with friends, or relax at my apartment. I’ve been addicted to The Block of late so will catch up on the latest while planning out upcoming social.

10:30PM

Rinse my makeup off, clean my lashes, swipe on Revitalash & apply the Alya pink clay facemask followed by Estée Lauder Advanced Repair serum. Honestly addicted! Lights out at 11pm.
