On Friday 1^st July the Newmarket business community gathered at Cordis to celebrate the annual Newmarket Business Awards hosted by the Newmarket Business Association (NBA), with major sponsor humm.  This year’s independent judging panel, featured some of New Zealand’s most prominent business leaders and influencers, including: Anne Norman (James Pascoe Group), Stewart Sherriff (Former CEO 2degrees), Anthony Hoy Fong (Celebrity Chef), Cameron Bagrie (Bagrie Economics), Kelly Bennett (One Plus One), Koro Dickinson (Poutama Trust), Elena Kim (PWC), Michelle Vogt (Mint Consulting), Wynnis Armour (Armour Consulting), Warwick Leyland and Peter Corner (Rotary Newmarket), expert mystery shopper judges, plus major sponsor judge, Jacqui Hourigan, from humm.

NBA’s CEO, Mark Knoff-Thomas said, “We are grateful of the ongoing support of our awards by the mayor, and the numerous politicians who attended, alongside our business leaders. We got spine-tingling inspiration from guest speaker Abbas Nazari. The night acknowledged the very best of what we have on offer. Newmarket continues to punch well above its weight. As always it was excellent to see some newer brands get recognised, as well as our more established businesses. We are well on the way to recovery and hats off to all businesses who have managed to navigate their way through the past couple of years.”
