N. Why do you love working in Newmarket?

It’s very vibrant, central and close to my house. What’s not to love about Newmarket?

N. What is one piece of advice that you would give to someone who was looking at starting out in your industry?

Have passion for what you do and believe in yourself and others.

N. What would you do if you weren’t in your current role?

I would spend my time travelling around the world.

N. Name 3 people that you would invite to a dinner party (living or dead).

It wouldn’t be a dinner party, it would be Yum Char and more like 30 people not 3...

N. What was your first job?

A Project Manager of foreign investments in China.

N.What motivates you?

My daughter Venice.

N. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

Italy in the Tuscany area or the South of France.

N. Where is your favourite place to get coffee or a drink in Newmarket?

Safran Café do a great flat white.

N. Describe Newmarket in 3 words:

Vibrant, trendy and entertaining.

N. What do you wish you’d known before you started your career?

Juggling between the needs of the media industry and my family life would be a constant challenge.

N. How do you start each morning?

Coffee, prepare lunchboxes and walk my daughter Venice to the bus stop.

N. What’s the best piece of advice that you’ve received?

Give it your best shot.

N. What is your favourite holiday destination and why?

Vienna, there is such a lovely musical vibe. What is Newmarket’s best kept secret? Chinese New Zealand Herald, a finger on the pulse of the Chinese community.

N. What would you consider to be your greatest achievement?

My daughter Venice.

N. Name one item that you can’t live without.

My passport, it allows me to travel the world!

N. It’s 10am on a Sunday morning. Where would we find you and what are you doing?

Running with my partner at One Tree Hill.

N. Who has had the greatest influence on your life and why?

My partner, we are extremely compatible.

N. What is your greatest fear?

I am a fearless person.

N. What do you love most about your job?

A great team with a vision and a common goal to turn the Chinese Herald into a mainstream media company in New Zealand.
